Q; When do I need a visitor name tag?
A: Anytime you visit the school during instruction hours, as a VISITOR, you need to sign in as a visitor and get a visitor tag at the office. You do not need to sign-in as visitor for morning drop off, after school pickup, and attending school sponsored events (e.g. back to school night, artist in me night, etc.)

A: Anytime you are visiting the school or participating off-campus as an approved volunteer, you must first sign-in at the main office and wear your volunteer name tag.
Remember, you MUST be approved on HelpHawaiiSchools (after registration, you will receive a separate welcome email) and must be assigned to the opportunity.

Q: When is Breakfast and Lunch served?
A: Breakfast is served from 7:00am to 7:35am for all grades. Lunch times vary by grade:

Q: Can I eat Breakfast / Lunch with my kiddos?
A: Yes you can! If you plan on eating with your child you need to pay for your meal in the office. You may not use your child's lunch account for visitor's purchases. CASH ONLY and exact amount preferred.
Bring your receipt (only good for the day purchased) to the cafeteria to collect your meal.

A: "Official" school uniforms can be obtained new at Royal Hawaiian Shirt Works or gently used at the main office and may be worn any day. The 10 year drifit shirts, which can be obtained via fund raising events throughout the year, are also approved official school uniforms and may be worn any day.
Special event or club shirts, which have been approved by the principal, may be worn ANY Friday, and includes shirts such as:

Q: Why is the play structure still closed?
A: The playground remains closed, pending repairs by the DOE to meet safety requirements. Please respect the temporary boundary and remind your keiki to stay off of the play structure until we can reopen.
The PTSA has formed a Playground Committee, to support Pomaikai administrators with the analysis, planning, execution, and support of playground related projects. Please join the committee to get the structure opened up for our kiddos by signing up here.
Committee Goals:
1. Reopen existing play structure (current school year)
2. Analyze procurement of new play structure AND other options (2-3 year timeline)
